Sima, pseudonym of Simona Hégerová, is a Slovak rapper and singer.
- Biography
Simona Hégerová was born and raised in Trnava, western Slovakia. She started going to a singing school at the age of 9. Among the artists that inspire you, you mention Jhené Aiko, Bruno Mars, José James and Beyoncé.
In 2012, Sima attended the auditions for the first edition of Hlas Česko Slovenska, the Czech and Slovak version of The Voice format, singing Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh) by Pixie Lott and getting the approval of three of the four judges. She joined Dara Rolins’ team, and was eliminated during one of the live shows.
After her participation in Hlas Česko Slovenska Sima started posting covers on YouTube and marketing original songs about her, growing her audience. Her debut album, Femina, was released on December 8, 2017, which reached the second place in the chart of best-selling records in Slovakia. The album features the singles Femina and Princíp vzájomnosti, which ranked ninety-third and 80th respectively in the Slovak chart.
Podla seba, Sima’s second album anticipated by the single Spolu, was released on December 16, 2018. It reached the third position in the Slovak chart and the fifteenth in the Czech one.
