Tautumeitas gained prominence with their 2017 collaborative album Lai māsiņa rotājās! alongside the folk band Auļi, which received the Latvian Music Recording Award for Best Folk Album. Their subsequent albums, including the self-titled Tautumeitas (2018), Dziesmas no Aulejas (2019), and Skrejceļš (2022), have solidified their status in the world music scene.

In 2025, Tautumeitas represented Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest with their song “Bur man laimi,” showcasing their unique fusion of traditional and modern musical elements to a global audience.
