A-ha is a critically acclaimed Norwegian synth-pop band formed in 1982, consisting of lead vocalist Morten Harket, keyboardist Magne Furuholmen, and guitarist Pål Waaktaar-Savoy. Famous for their innovative sound and iconic music videos, A-ha gained international fame with their hit single “Take On Me,” which was released in 1985. The song’s groundbreaking music video featured a blend of live-action and pencil-sketch animation, earning them six MTV Video Music Awards and widespread recognition.
Their debut album, “Hunting High and Low,” released in 1985, was a commercial success and included other popular tracks like “The Sun Always Shines on T.V.” and “Hunting High and Low.” The band’s unique combination of catchy melodies and Harket’s distinctive voice helped solidify their status in the music world.
