Alizée, born Alizée Jacotey on August 21, 1984, in Ajaccio, Corsica, is a renowned French singer, dancer, and performer. Discovered by Mylène Farmer after winning the talent show Graines de Star in 1999, Alizée catapulted to fame in 2000 with her debut single “Moi… Lolita.” The song, a collaboration with Farmer and Laurent Boutonnat, became a massive success, securing high chart positions in multiple countries and establishing Alizée as a major pop sensation.
Her debut album, “Gourmandises,” released in 2000, was critically acclaimed and commercially successful, selling over four million copies worldwide and earning a Diamond certification in France. Alizée’s next album, “Mes Courants Électriques,” released in 2003, continued her success with hit singles like “J’en ai marre!” and “À contre-courant.”
Following a brief hiatus, Alizée returned in 2007 with the album “Psychédélices,” which showcased a more mature musical style.
