Annie-Dog is a Dublin-based avant-pop artist, singer-songwriter, and producer who has quickly carved out a distinct voice in the indie/electronic music scene. Self-producing much of her music and refusing to be boxed into a single genre, she mixes indie-pop, electronica, grunge hints, hyper-pop textures, and raw emotional lyricism.
Her debut single, The Pressures of the Heart (2024), released via UK indie label Dance To The Radio, earned critical acclaim for its magnetic blend of raw indie energy and pop sensibility. It grabbed support from Spotify playlists, radio (BBC 6 Music, RTÉ 2FM) and press including Dork, DIY, So Young, Hot Press.
In early 2025, Annie-Dog released her sophomore EP 15, which further displayed her versatility: from glitchy, vivid electronic pop (“Have I Been Living?”) to expansive, haunting covers like Please Forgive Me, David Gray. Her vocal style shifts between ethereal softness and emotionally charged intensity, often overlaying layered synths, subtle guitar, drum machines, and occasionally distorted textures. Themes of love, loss, nostalgia, introspection are central.
She’s not just a studio artist: live, Annie-Dog has already played key showcase festivals (such as Eurosonic), building momentum across Europe. Her approach is refreshingly honest and creative: she writes, produces, and crafts much of her output herself, leaning into a DIY ethos that gives her authenticity and a strong connection with growing audiences.
Her influences are wide: artists like Imogen Heap, Grimes, Alex G, Dean Blunt, PinkPantheress among them, but she blends them into something uniquely her own. Critics praise her capacity to float between genres, yet maintain a cohesive emotional core. Annie-Dog is rapidly becoming one to watch — an artist whose music captures both vulnerability and boundary-pushing sound design.
