Eruption is a British music band, which has become a prominent representative of disco and soul Immortal hits of this group earned a place in world music history. Silent Eruption was the first name of the band that was formed in London in 1974. At the beginning it included six musicians – Gerry Williams (keyboard), Eric Kingsley (drums), brothers Greg and Morgan Perrineau (guitar and bass) and Leslie Johnson as the lead singer. After the first single, which turned out to be unsuccessful, Leslie Johnson left the band. The new singer Precious Wilson replaced the previous vocalist and that marked the ultimate formation of the band. Later on the young ensemble went on a tour across Germany, where they were noticed by Hans Meier and Frank Farian. With the help of the two influential Germans, an eponymous debut album appears in December, 1977. The second album “Leave a Light” (1978) included a single “One Way Ticket” – the most famous hit song of the band, rehashed even in the Soviet Union.
