Pavel Callta was born on February 12, 1989 in Česká Lípa, where he spent 18 years of his life. He graduated from high school with a focus on economics and foreign languages and in September 2009 he joined the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory, from which he left after less than a year, as he was also studying at university. He started with music as a child. At the age of ten, he started playing the piano and learned the guitar at the camp, where he went from the age of 4, as his father was the main leader. From the age of fifteen he sang with the swing orchestra in Česká Lípa. Before he started college, he swam competitively for his hometown for 9 years. At the age of 18, when family problems arose at home, he flew to Egypt to work as a delegate and a year later to Turkey as a guide and delegate.
In the autumn of 2010, he flew to study in the USA and immediately after his return he went to Belgium to study graphic design. After graduating from university, he founded and operated a boating bar and camp U Dvou bráchů on the banks of the river Sázava, where he earned his debut music video. Before the beginning of his music career, Pavel and his younger brother Daniel lost their mother. Pavel writes about the sad event in the song “Mami”, which he dedicated to her memory. Paul mentions his father’s unexpected departure in the songs “I Write My Dream” and “Memories.”
He started professionally in music in 2012 with his first single Ve Hvězdách. Pavel got on the radio air with the single “Therapist”. In June 2015, he released his authorial debut album Moments (platinum record), whose godmother was Lucie Bílá. [3] He was nominated for Discovery of the Year – Český Slavík Mattoni 2015. He won the Music Awards of Europe 2 as a singer of the year 2017. Pavel wrote other singles, such as “Connected”, “So sorry” or “I’m writing my dream” (ft. Leoš Mareš). In November 2018, he released his second author’s album The Component (platinum record) in parallel with the single “Never Forget”. In April 2019, in just a few hours, he wrote a duet entitled “Let the Wind Blow,” which he sang with Marta Jandová and became the opening song for the Avon March 2019. That same year he released a single called “Song” (ft. Pokáč), which became one of the most streaming songs of the year. His first book, My Moments, was published in October 2019 by Albatros. It is an authentic diary that has been written since he was 14 years old. The launch of the album Částst and his books took place on November 7, 2019 in the packed Karlín Forum, thus fulfilling his dream. A year later, on November 20, 2020, he released his third studio album, Jiná, in parallel with the ballad Ztrácích se. There are also songs on the album such as “Memories”, “Whatever Happens”, “Other” or “As if he were our last”.
In 2021, he appeared in the series Ulice, where he played the role of bartender Jonáš. 12.2.2022 released his 4th album “You can count on me” for his birthday
