Ana Claudia Grigore was born in Medgidia on January 28, 1989; he has a younger brother named Andrei. She graduated from the music high school “Dinu Lipatti”, Actor’s Art Department, after which she worked in the field of journalism, being an editor at two magazines; she is currently a student at the Faculty of Journalism.

Ruby chose her stage name after a song by the English band Kaiser Chiefs. She gave her first concert in a club in Germany, becoming the first Romanian singer to be released abroad. Her first single, club music, “Touch Me” (2010), was a hit in Turkey. In the same year, Ruby released her second single, “Get High”, in collaboration with Spanish singer Juan Magan. [4] The song “Touch Me” was nominated for the British Online Music Awards in 2011 in the “Best Dance Act” category.

In February 2011, Ruby began collaborating with HaHaHa Production, releasing the song “Party Hard”. In early 2012, he released another single entitled “Miracle of Love”. The song also benefited from a video directed by Iulian Moga and entered the Romanian National Top 100 ranking, reaching the maximum position with number 31. In the fall of 2012, Ruby released her first single in Romanian, “Stinge lumina”, produced by Alex Velea and HaHaHa Production. A video directed by Radu Aldea was released together with the play. “Turn off the light” is, so far, Ruby’s most successful single in Romania, quickly reaching the top position at number 18. An English version of the song, “Turn Off the Lights”, was released, as well as another video, also made by Radu Aldea.

In 2014 he launched “From a distance”, directed by Lazar Cercel. The song has the expected success, and the artist gains the appreciation of a new target audience, that of the pop genre. [Citation needed]

In February 2015, Ruby released a new video, “Don’t Put Your Soul In” in collaboration with What’s Up, produced in deMoga studios. The song that ranked 1st for 6 weeks in the Romanian Top 100 and 16 weeks in the top 10. At the same time gathered over 24,000,000 views on Youtube. [Citation needed]

Also in February 2015, Ruby participates in the reality show, “I’m famous, get me out of here!”, Broadcast by PRO TV and which obtains an average rating of 12.5% and a share of 24.1 on the national audience, and the artist reaches the final coming out on the third place.

Immediately after returning from South Africa, together with Dorian Popa and Cătălin Moroșanu, he launched the song, “Leave the cuckoo alone”, which became a real online phenomenon gathering over 17,000,000 views.

At the end of September 2015, he released a new single with Dorian Popa, “Hello, how are you?” the song that manages to gather in just 3 weeks over 10,000,000 views on Youtube and reach the top 10 positions of the Romanian Top 100.
