SNAP! is a German Eurodance project founded in Frankfurt in 1989 by producers Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti. The duo became one of the defining forces of 1990s dance music by combining electronic production, house rhythms, hip-hop elements and powerful vocal performances. Their international breakthrough arrived in 1990 with “The Power,” a global club anthem featuring rapper Turbo B and vocals associated with the project’s early era.
The debut album World Power (1990) established SNAP! worldwide and also produced tracks such as “Ooops Up,” “Cult of Snap” and “Mary Had a Little Boy.” The second studio album, The Madman’s Return (1992), delivered the group’s signature hit “Rhythm Is a Dancer,” performed with vocalist Thea Austin, as well as “Colour of Love” and “Exterminate!” In 1994, SNAP! released Welcome to Tomorrow, expanding its sound with trance and house influences and introducing another successful title track.
