2 Unlimited
2 Unlimited is a pioneering Eurodance group that stormed the music scene in the early 1990s, composed of Dutch rapper Ray Slijngaard and Dutch vocalist Anita Doth. The group was created by Belgian producers Jean-Paul De Coster and Phil Wilde. Initially formed in 1991, 2 Unlimited quickly rose to fame with their energetic beats, catchy hooks, and a distinctive blend of rap and techno music.
The group’s debut single, “Get Ready for This,” released in 1991, became an international hit and set the stage for their subsequent successes. Their first album, “Get Ready!” featured more hit singles like “Twilight Zone” and “Workaholic,” which helped cement their place in the Eurodance genre.
2 Unlimited’s second album, “No Limits!” released in 1993, was even more successful, producing chart-topping hits such as “No Limit,” “Tribal Dance,” and “Let the Beat Control Your Body.” These tracks became anthems of the early ’90s dance scene and solidified the group’s global recognition. They continued to release successful projects, including “Real Things” in 1994 and “Hits Unlimited” in 1995.
The group received numerous awards and nominations throughout their career, including World’s Best-Selling Benelux Artist at the World Music Awards and several MTV Europe Music Awards nominations.
