  2. commercial offer;
  3. artist or management approval;
  4. negotiation of performance terms;
  5. contract;
  6. deposits and remaining payments;
  7. production and rider review;
  8. travel and accommodation;
  9. final event logistics.

When touring, artists typically perform with their full line-ups.

However, it should not be assumed that this specific format and full line-up will automatically apply to every private or corporate event.

The available format and line-up for each private event must be agreed upon individually with the Eric Clapton.

Typically, the performance duration is agreed upon with Eric Clapton based on the client’s preferences and the format of the performance.

Accordingly, the actual performance duration stipulated by the contract must be specified in the client’s commercial proposal and the event agreement with the artist.

The official sources do not provide a public technical rider for a private shows.

Technical requirements should therefore not be invented from photographs, previous concerts or another shows.

Once the performance format is established, the organizer or production company should review the current rider supplied for the proposed engagement.

This allows stage, sound, lighting, backline, power and other requirements to be planned against the correct production.

Not necessarily.

A private or corporate engagement may still be subject to its own available format, performance duration, production requirements and commercial conditions.

For this reason, the public tour is useful factual context, but it should not be copied into a private-event proposal as though all conditions are identical.

About Eric Clapton

Biography / Discography

Eric Patrick Clapton is an English rock and blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter born on 30 March 1945 in Ripley. Known by the stage name Slowhand, he is regarded as one of the most successful and influential guitarists in rock music history, ranking second on Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” and fourth on Gibson’s “Top 50 Guitarists of All Time.” He has sold over 100 million records worldwide in his solo career alone.

Clapton’s career began with local bands before joining the Yardbirds (1963–1965) and John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers (1965–1966). He co-founded the power trio Cream in 1967 with drummer Ginger Baker and bassist Jack Bruce, pioneering blues-based psychedelic rock until the band’s breakup in 1968. He subsequently played in Blind Faith and Derek and the Dominos, recording the classic album Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs (1970), which features the signature instrumental “Layla.”

Clapton’s solo career, beginning in 1970, produced numerous hit albums and songs, including a 1974 cover of Bob Marley’s “I Shot the Sheriff” that brought reggae to mainstream audiences, the country-influenced Slowhand album (1977), and the pop-rock of 1986’s August. His 1992 Unplugged album featured the Grammy-winning ballad “Tears in Heaven,” which reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100. With 18 Grammy Awards, three Brit Awards, and three Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions, Clapton continues recording and performing, with his latest studio album Meanwhile released in 2024.
