About Bi-2
Biography / Discography
Bi-2 is a legendary Russian alternative rock band formed in the late 1980s by Aleksandr “Shura” Uman and Egor “Leva” Bortnik. Starting their journey in Belarus before relocating to Israel and later Russia, they carved out a unique place in the Russian rock scene with their distinctive blend of alternative, symphonic, and cinematic rock. Their breakthrough came in 2000 with the release of the soundtrack to the cult film “Brother 2”, featuring their now-classic anthem “Polkovniku Nikto Ne Pishet” (“No One Writes to the Colonel”).
Since then, Bi-2 have released numerous platinum albums including “Meow Kiss Me”, “Moloko”, “Spirit”, and “Odd Warrior”, each showcasing artistic evolution and experimentation. Known for their poetic lyrics and emotional resonance, the band collaborates frequently with orchestras, creating grand symphonic rock concerts that attract tens of thousands of fans.
Their live performances are a signature experience—visually striking, musically powerful, and emotionally intense. Bi-2 have headlined major festivals, sold out arenas across Russia and Europe, and performed worldwide. Beyond music, the band is also engaged in cultural projects and humanitarian causes, strengthening their influence as both artists and social voices.
Booking Bi-2 ensures a night of unforgettable rock anthems, stunning stage production, and one of the most important names in post-Soviet music history.
