Klaxons are an English indie rock band that formed in London in 2005. Comprised of Jamie Reynolds, James Righton, Simon Taylor-Davis, and former member Steffan Halperin, Klaxons are best known for spearheading the “new rave” movement, which blends elements of indie rock, electronic music, and psychedelic pop. Their debut album, “Myths of the Near Future,” released in 2007, gained critical acclaim and achieved commercial success, catapulting them to international fame. This album won the prestigious Mercury Prize and featured hit singles such as “Golden Skans” and “Gravity’s Rainbow,” solidifying Klaxons as influential pioneers in the indie music scene.
