Litfiba is a legendary Italian rock band formed in Florence in 1980. Their name is an acronym of the telex code: LITalia — FIrenze — BAndiera. The band became pioneers of the Italian new wave and post-punk scenes, later evolving into powerful rock performers with massive influence.

The band’s classic lineup featured charismatic frontman Piero Pelù and visionary guitarist Ghigo Renzulli, whose chemistry defined an era. Their “Power Trilogy” — Desaparecido (1985), 17 Re (1986), and Litfiba 3 (1988) — built their reputation as intense and politically charged artists.

In the 1990s, they exploded into mainstream success with albums like El Diablo (1990), Terremoto (1993), and Spirito (1994), crafting stadium-filling hits such as Regina di cuori, Lacio Drom, and Cangaceiro. Their sound fused Mediterranean rhythms, hard rock, and social commentary.

After a series of lineup changes and reunions, Litfiba officially announced their farewell tour L’Ultimo Girone in 2022 — a final celebration of a 40+ year career that left an indelible mark on Italian music culture.
