Al Bano’s major breakthrough came with “Nel Sole” in 1967. His official biography states that the single sold about 1.3 million copies, establishing him as a major Italian recording artist. The same year he took part in the Italian dates of the Rolling Stones tour. For an event organiser, “Nel Sole” is therefore not just an early song but the starting point of a career that later expanded across Europe and international markets.
Al Bano’s official biography highlights songs including “Sharazan,” “Felicita,” “Nostalgia Canaglia,” “E la Mia Vita” and “Nel Sole.” It also credits his career with 26 gold records and eight platinum records. This mix of solo songs and repertoire associated with his work with Romina Power gives organisers a catalogue that can connect with several generations of Italian and European pop audiences.
Al Bano and Romina Power won the Sanremo Music Festival in 1984 with “Ci sara.” The result is one of the best-known milestones of their partnership and remains an important reference point in Al Bano’s career. For audiences familiar with classic Italian television and festival culture, the song adds a strong Sanremo connection to his live repertoire and helps explain his long-standing recognition outside Italy.
Al Bano’s career also includes classical and operatic repertoire. His official biography describes performances with Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras and notes that the album “Concerto Classico” received double-platinum recognition. This vocal background helps distinguish an Al Bano concert from a standard nostalgia-pop appearance: his identity combines Italian popular song with a powerful tenor-based performance style and experience in classical crossover repertoire.
Al Bano remains active as a live artist today. A request for Al Bano should be treated as a request for Al Bano unless a duo or guest configuration is specifically confirmed. Organisers should never assume that Romina Power is included simply because some of the best-known repertoire comes from their partnership.
Send the proposed date, city, country, venue, event type, expected audience size, preferred performance format and budget information if available. If a specific repertoire concept or guest configuration is important, mention it at the inquiry stage rather than after advertising has begun. BnMusic can coordinate the availability request and current commercial conditions for the proposed engagement.

Carrisi made his professional debut in 1966, launching a recording career with immediate success. Early hits included “Nel sole” (1967), which sold over one million copies internationally, and “Pensando a te,” which won the Un disco per l’estate contest in 1968. From 1970 to 1999, he performed as part of the duo Al Bano & Romina Power, recording successful albums including “Dialogo” (1975) and participating in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1976 and 1985 (both entries placing 7th). The duo achieved particular prominence in Italy, Austria, France, Spain, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Russia, and Germany.
