FAQ's
What, Where, When, Who, How much...
Yes. Thomas Anders was the singer of Modern Talking during the duo’s original breakthrough in the 1980s and again during its 1998-2003 reunion. The project began its international rise in 1985 with “You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul.” Today, Anders continues to perform the Modern Talking catalogue while also maintaining a separate solo career in pop, schlager, soul and adult contemporary music.
Thomas Anders is strongly associated with “You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul,” “Cheri, Cheri Lady,” “You Can Win If You Want,” “Brother Louie” and “Atlantis Is Calling.” These songs define the classic Modern Talking repertoire heard by international audiences. “Brother Louie” also reached No. 4 on the UK Official Singles Chart in 1986, giving the catalogue a clear chart achievement that remains easy to recognise.
Thomas Anders’ official biography states that Modern Talking sold more than 125 million records worldwide and now generates more than 380 million streams per year. That scale explains why his live audience extends far beyond Germany. For an organiser, Thomas Anders offers a catalogue with established recognition across Europe and many other markets, particularly among audiences connected with 1980s and 1990s European pop.
Yes. Thomas Anders remains an active international touring artist. His official schedule lists concerts in Germany and Hungary, followed by the 2027 “The Best Live – Thomas Anders sings Modern Talking” tour with dates in Germany and Switzerland. This ongoing schedule shows that the Modern Talking repertoire remains a current live product, not only a nostalgia catalogue from the 1980s.
The exact billing should be confirmed for each event before posters or advertising are released. Thomas Anders’ official concert schedule currently uses descriptions such as “Thomas Anders/Modern Talking – Live in Concert” and “Thomas Anders sings Modern Talking.”
Send the event date, city, country, venue, event type, expected audience size, preferred performance format and available budget information if applicable. About Thomas Anders
Biography / Discography
Thomas Anders (born Bernd Weidung on March 1, 1963) is a German singer, songwriter, and record producer. He achieved international stardom as the vocalist of Modern Talking, a Eurodisco duo he formed with Dieter Bohlen in 1983. The group became one of the most successful acts of the 1980s, selling 120 million records worldwide before dissolving in 1987.
Modern Talking’s commercial peak was defined by chart-dominating hits such as “You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul,” which launched their international breakthrough. Following the group’s initial split, Anders pursued an increasingly successful solo career. His 2004 album This Time reached number 14 on the German charts, while his 2010 album Strong achieved platinum status in Russia, selling over 650,000 copies. Modern Talking reunited from 1998 to 2003, further cementing their legacy.
Anders remains a significant cultural figure in Eastern Europe and Russia, where he is recognized as the best-selling foreign artist of all time. He is available to book for festivals, corporate events, and private performances.
