Anberlin is an American rock band that formed in Winter Haven, Florida, in 2002. Known for their energetic performances and emotive lyrical content, the band quickly rose to prominence in the mid-2000s. The original lineup included lead vocalist Stephen Christian, guitarists Joseph Milligan and Joey Bruce (later replaced by Nathan Young), bassist Deon Rexroat, and drummer Nathan Young. Their debut album, “Blueprints for the Black Market,” was released in 2003, showcasing their blend of alternative rock and post-hardcore influences.
Over the years, Anberlin released several successful albums, including “Never Take Friendship Personal” (2005), “Cities” (2007), and “New Surrender” (2008). One of their notable achievements came with the release of “New Surrender,” which featured the hit single “Feel Good Drag.” This song reached number one on the Billboard Modern Rock chart and solidified their presence in the mainstream music scene.
