Los del Río is a Spanish Latin pop and dance duo formed in 1962 in Dos Hermanas, Andalusia, consisting of Antonio Romero Monge (born 1948) and Rafael Ruiz Perdigones (born 1938). The duo is internationally recognized for their 1993 single ‘Macarena’, which became a global phenomenon following its 1995 remix by the Bayside Boys. The track reached number one in numerous countries and became one of the most iconic dance songs of the 1990s, introducing millions worldwide to Spanish dance music.
Since their formation, Los del Río have released over 20 albums, beginning with their 1967 debut Luces de Sevilla.
