Maggie Reilly (born Margaret Reilly, 15 September 1956) is a Scottish singer and songwriter specializing in soft rock and pop. She rose to international prominence during the 1980s as the lead vocalist on multiple hit recordings by composer Mike Oldfield, including Moonlight Shadow, Family Man, To France, and Foreign Affair—tracks that achieved significant commercial success across Europe and beyond.
Before her solo career, Reilly was a member of the 1970s soul group Cado Belle (formerly Joe Cool), which released one album in 1976. Her studio collaborations with Oldfield spanned 1980 to 1984, appearing on albums including Five Miles Out, Crises, and Discovery. She has also contributed vocals and songwriting to projects with Jack Bruce, Nick Mason, Mike Batt, Dave Greenfield, The Sisters of Mercy, Smokie, and other acclaimed artists.
Reilly launched her solo career in 1992 with the album Echoes, which generated the singles Everytime We Touch, Tears in the Rain, and Wait. She has since released ten studio albums spanning 1992 to 2024, including Midnight Sun, Elena, Starcrossed, Looking Back Moving Forward, and Starfields.
