About Tom Meighan
Biography / Discography
Tom Meighan is an English musician and singer best known as the former lead vocalist of Leicestershire-based alternative rock band Kasabian. Born on 11 January 1981 in Leicester, Meighan co-founded Kasabian in 1997 and served as the band’s lead vocalist throughout their initial commercial rise, appearing on the majority of the group’s studio recordings and live performances across two decades.
Kasabian emerged from the East Midlands music scene in the late 1990s and became one of the United Kingdom’s most prominent rock acts, known for their energetic performances and evolving sound that blended alternative rock, electronic elements, and stadium-oriented production. Meighan’s distinctive vocal style became central to the band’s identity across multiple album releases and international touring, establishing them as major festival headliners and chart performers.
Meighan departed from Kasabian in April 2020 after more than two decades with the group. Beyond his work with the band, he has pursued solo musical activities and remains active in the music industry. He is available to book for festivals, live performances, and other musical events.
